Red-Al® (sodium bis(2-methoxyethoxy)aluminum hydrid, also known as Vitride®) is a versatile reducing agent, commercially available in toluene solution. This non-pyrophoric reagent, soluble in organic solvents, can be a good alternative to lithium aluminium hydride (LAH). In this new AtlanChim Pharma’s webinar, we will illustrate the reactivity of Red-Al® through recent examples from medicinal chemistry.
As usual, I will be happy to present this work to you and answer all your questions! We therefore give you an appointment on Tuesday, June 13 at 3.00 p.m.
Our expert
His current research activity concerns the synthesis of biologically active molecules, natural or not, in the fields of cancer, viral pathologies and neurodegenerative diseases, through academic and industrial collaborations. He is also strongly involved in the understanding of biological mechanisms through the synthesis of molecules selectively labeled by non-radioactive isotopes.

Member of the National Scientific Research Committee (CNRS – section 12) (2012-2016 and 2017-2022).
Founding partner of the CRO AtlanchimPharma (custom fine chemistry and synthesis of stable isotope labeled molecules) and consultant (since 2004). Professor at the University of Nantes (CEISAM, UMR-CNRS 6513 – Symbiosis group (Multi-step synthesis and bioscience)) Co-author of about 160 publications (h-index 35) and 18 patents (including two with exploitation license and one know-how license), and more than 100 seminars and conferences.
